24 WC DAIRY NEWS  CHRISTMAS 2023
  Alberta Holsteins Activities Updates
Judging School
Report and Pictures by Fred Hofstra
Alberta Holsteins held a Judging Clinic on October 19 during the Westerner Dairy Showcase. Our guest official judge this year was Richard Osborne from Hagersville, Ontario. Richard farms under the prefix Willow Creek Genetics.
The judging clinic was very well attended with over 40 participants, judging three classes consisting of a September Holstein calf class, along with a Jersey mature cow and a Holstein 2-Year old class. Richard facilitated many great discussions and had some excellent advice for all the participants. As always, Alberta Holsteins provided a lunch for everyone involved. We look forward to holding our next judging clinic in Rimbey, June 2024. See you there!
